








Construction
Ram Services, the construction or "build it" division of the corporation is known for its excellence in the heavy/light construction and retrofit arena. Light construction includes installing and retrofitting or upgrading HVACR systems from one to 20 tons, while heavy construction is performed 21 to 1000 tons. All divisions of Ram Services serve the commercial and industrial marketplaces, as well as most city, state and federal procurement agencies. Recent projects include the following:
Old Dominion University
Worked as a major sub-contractor to the W.M. Jordan Company in the construction of the Virginia Beach Higher Education Center in Virginia Beach. The project included a high pressure duct system with state-of-the-art humidity control, modular high efficiency boilers, a centrifugal chiller with pumps, cooling, tower and direct digital control system.
Norfolk Naval Base, Blog C-9
1. Complete building HVAC retrofit with environmental control upgrade of entire building with roof replacement--project included installation of rotary screw chillers, pumps with VFD control, steam converters, air VFD handlers, primary/secondary piping system, direct digital controls, asbestos removal and ceiling installation.
2. Completed base wide refrigerant conversion of approximately 12 centrifugal chillers. The mechanical rooms base-wide were upgraded to become ASHRAE 15 compliant. The chillers were converted from environmentally unfriendly R-11 to R-123.
Fort Monroe
Replaced central chilled water plant major equipment. Project installation of new chillers, high volume pumps with VFD control and pipe VFO modifications.
Naval Weapons Station
Performed base wide installation of back-flow prevention units at approximately 200 locations and provided base-wide conversion of fuel oil fired boilers to dual fuel or gas/oil burner systems.
